God wants you Healthy

1 Peter 2:24; "He himself bore our sins in his body

on the cross,

so that we might die to sins

and live for righteousness;

by his wounds you have been healed."

God gave His son so that we might be healed.

By his wounds "you have been healed". is in the past tense and applies for then, and now, and it is for evermore.

This means even though you have sickness now, you have still been healed. You just need to take your authority which has been given to you.

Some people say we cannot be healed, or that it never says that in the Bible, or that we will only be healed when we die. None of these are true. Look at Isaiah

THE MEANING OF ISAIAH 53:4:

Isaiah 53:4 NIV; Surely he took up our pain and bore our suffering, yet we considered him punished by God, stricken by him, and afflicted.

SEVERAL TRANSLATIONS: click on the red link below to see them:

Isaiah 53:4 ; As you can see when you go to this link there are several translations of this verse, which can be very confusing. Some of the translations put a different word after the words "He bore/took up our". Some translations say:

"Pain", or "Suffering", or "Sorrows", or "Griefs", or "Sicknesses". "Griefs" is mentioned most often. the word chosen by the translators.

I decided to take a look at the Hebrew (since Isaiah was written in Hebrew) specifically the word "griefs" since it was the most often used in the translations.

THE TRUTH

In Strongs Concordance: There are 24 occurrences in the Bible of the word "grief" H2470 (Hebrew word #2470) which mean sicknesses and disease.

Then I went to the Interlinear which has all the words defined and what they mean in Hebrew:

Isaiah 53:4 INTERLINEAR HEBREW: Surely HO403 he x1931 hath borne 5375 z8804 our griefs, H2483 and carried 5445 z8804 our sorrows: 4341 yet we x587 did esteem 2803 z8804 him stricken, 5060 z8803 smitten 5221 z8716 of ´Élöhîm אֱלֹהִים, 430 and afflicted. 6031 z8794

This again, if we click on H2483 shows that "griefs" means sickness.

Blue Letter Bible Lexicon and Interlinear; The KJV translates Strong's H2483 (griefs) in the following manner: sickness disease grief, sick

and if we scroll down to the Masoretic Text we can click on the link which will describe the word "griefs" in full which is Strongs H2483. It also states: sickness, disease, grief, sick .

Isaiah 53:4; AMPC Surely He has borne our griefs (sicknesses, weaknesses, and distresses) and carried our sorrows and pains [of punishment], yet we [ignorantly] considered Him stricken, smitten, and afflicted by God [as if with leprosy]. [Matt. 8:17.] But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our guilt and iniquities; the chastisement [needful to obtain] peace and well-being for us was upon Him, and with the stripes [that wounded] Him we are healed.

SUMMATION

In Hebrew, in which Isaiah 53:4 was written, when "grief/s" (most often used) is used in translations, it means the following:

disease, illness, sick, sickness, sicknesses,'

Therefore, when Isaiah says in:

Isaiah 53:4-5 NKJV. Surely he has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows, yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by God, and afflicted.

5 But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed";

Isaiah is talking about two things that "are healed" 1. the "sicknesses/illness, disease - physical" and 2. "our transgressions/iniquities" are healed.

Exodus 23:25; Worship the Lord your God, and his blessing will be on your food and water. I will take away sickness from among you.

Matthew 10:1; Jesus called his twelve disciples to him and gave them authority to drive out impure spirits and to heal every disease and sickness. Some people say that miracles died with the apostles. I have not been able to find any Bible reference to support this. I do know what I see. I see many, many healings and driving out of impure spirits.

If you were God

Let's put the shoe on the other foot. If you were God who is a God of Love, Kindness and Grace, (because you made Adam and Eve in your image and had given them a soul (mind, will emotion, and also because you had given the rulership of Planet Earth over to Adam and Eve, See THE BEGINNING OF MANKIND), how could you heal anyone unless they had decided they were healed first? If they had not made that decision, then you (as God) would be breaking your promise to them to heal them, especially in this Time of Grace, 'born again' and the 'Holy Spirited'. People pleading with you (as God) to be healed is not them making that decision. They would be waiting for You to make that decision for them. Other people praying for them is also not them making that decision, though it might help them make the decision.

There would have to be a clear defined line before you, as God, could step in and heal, and that defined line would be individual decision. See Mark 11:24. Otherwise, it could be a case of creating human robots. See 'FAITH' & 'OUR AUTHORITY'.

You, as God, (through Jesus - and since the death of Jesus) have given everyone the ability to have You indwelling them as the Holy Spirit (through Jesus). They all now have the power who raised Jesus from the grave inside them, they just need to use that power to heal themselves. Jesus and You, as God, did Your part 2000 years ago on the cross when Jesus took on all man's sins and sicknesses, past, present ,and future. See Got Questions. Human kind just needs to access healing through what they already have and tap into their 'born again' human spirit and get help from their indwelling Holy Spirit.

How to get a Healing

Mark 11:24; Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.

There are several things that need to be in sync for healing to take place. (Red words with underlining are links to relative pages).

Faith
Control of our thoughts. See 'YOU, YOUR BRAIN, AND YOUR MIND'
Control of our 'TONGUE'
Align with 'THE HOLY SPIRIT'
Be Brave

2 Timothy. 1:7; For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.

Why can we get Healed?

Ephesians 3:20; Now to the One who can,

according to His power that is operating in us,

do more than superabundantly

beyond all the things we ask or conceive,

Since the death of Jesus we can have the "Spirit of Him" (Holy Spirit - See 'HOLY SPIRIT') in addition to our human spirit, (See 'HUMAN SPIRIT') provided we ask Jesus for it.

The "Spirit" (Holy Spirit) will give "life and healing" to our "mortal bodies). This is so powerful! We have the power "who raised Christ from the dead" inside of us!

"The One" (Holy Spirit)

"His power that is operating in us" who will give us

"Beyond all the things we ask or conceive".

This means that the Holy Spirit (along with our human spirit) will give us more that we could ask or think of! (See 'HUMAN SPIRIT')

Psalm 103:1-5; Praise the Lord, my soul;
all my inmost being, praise his holy name.
2 Praise the Lord, my soul,
and forget not all his benefits—
3 who forgives all your sins
and heals all your diseases,
4 who redeems your life from the pit
and crowns you with love and compassion,
5 who satisfies your desires with good things

God "heals all our diseases"

I have received complete healing, including hearing and eyesight, through His Holy Spirit working with my faith. It was unbelievable. My body and energy level feel like someone half my age! (See 'HOLY SPIRIT')

The crown of "love and compassion" I have received and I live within it joyfully. I am getting stronger and stronger in my faith and strengthening my personality to where "love and compassion" have become my main focus.

It was not easy for me because I was so self-involved.

My "desires" are satisfied amazingly enough, and provided I stay 'in faith' good things come to me. (See 'FAITH AND BELIEF')

Romans 8:11; But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you,

He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies

through His Spirit who dwells in you.

Jesus (God in the flesh) must have realized when He was here on Earth, that people needed Him with them always. That is what the Holy Spirit is. It is God on the inside of us - when we have accepted Jesus as our Lord and Savior - waiting to help and heal us. (See 'HOLY SPIRIT')

It's a Process

Sometimes healing does not happen right away. But if we have unwavering faith and belief, it will always come.

Some believe in doctors, some take drugs. At the other side of all this 'human wisdom' is God's healing.

Since the death of Jesus, we have within us the Power of the Holy Spirit who raised Jesus from the grave.

We have to realize and acknowledge this Power and more than that, believe - despite what current reality tells us.

In other words we can be horribly sick or full of allergies, but if we start and continue to act like we are healed, and see ourselves as healed, we will be healed.

Sometimes this happens instantly, sometimes the body (which is not you - (See 'YOU, YOUR BRAIN, YOUR MIND & BODY') needs a couple of days or even longer. It will depend upon the strength of your faith. (See 'FAITH AND BELIEF')

Healing Others

Matthew 28:18-20;

Then Jesus came to them and said,

“All authority in heaven and on earth

has been given to me.

19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

Jesus says to His apostles:

"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations".

That would be all of us (all nations)

"Teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you."

It means that we ("all nations") are to be like the disciples of Christ and disciple others.

DEFINITION: 'Disciple':, disciple refers to a dedicated follower of Jesus.

Actively imitating both the life and teaching of the Master. wikapedia

John 14:15-16; “If you love me, keep my commands.

16 and I will ask the Father,

and He will give you another Advocate to help you and be with you forever

17 the Spirit of truth.

Jesus is saying:

"He will give them "another Advocate (Holy Spirit)

to help" them and be with them forever.

We also can have the Holy Spirit.

John 14:26; But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.

Jesus is saying:

"the Holy Spirit (Advocate) whom the Father (God) will send in My name (Jesus) will teach us all things and remind us of everything He (Jesus) has said to His apostles.

For this wonderful Power and teaching, we do need to ask for it and acknowledge Jesus as our Lord and Savior.

James 1:6; But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt,

because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.

James 1:7-8; That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. 8 Such a person is double-minded and unstable in all they do.

The person who is double-minded should not expect anything.

That is an obvious one. They are unstable. It would be like trying to build something while on a rough ocean.

God and His Holy Spirit cannot help anyone who does not firmly believe with certainty and without doubts.

People who lose Healings

Nowhere in the Bible does it say that everyone keeps their healings.

There is a dear friend of mine and 2 times I have laid hands on him and the Holy Spirit healed him and his pain was gone.

I had a conversation with him the other day and he said to me:

"I know' by the time I get home the pain will be back again."

He 'knew' that the pain would come back again when he got home. And of course, it came back when he got home.

How could this be? This was a lovely person, but these verses from James 1:6-8; apply (above). Also, Proverbs 23:7. (below)

Sadly, this person died a few weeks ago. from a completely different cause. It was such an unnecessary death.

Proverbs 23:7;

For as he thinks within himself, so he is.

Luke 8:13; And the ones on the rock are those who, when they hear the word, receive it with joy. But these have no root; they believe for a while, and in time of testing fall away.

God doesn't ask us of much. He just wants us to believe without wavering in Him and what He can do.

His Holy Spirit cannot help us if we do not believe. Believing means we have decided what we want. God never oversteps that boundary. He allows us our choice. Otherwise, we would be robots.

Plus, and very important, is that God gave Dominion (control and authority) to mankind (See 'THE BEGINNING OF MANKIND'

"They believe for a while, and in time of testing fall away".

When anyone falls away (doubts) they lose their faith.

What can the Holy Spirit do if a person loses his faith?

God is a God of choice and allows us our choice.

Satan can come to steel our gains. (See 'SATAN, WHO HE IS')

Proverbs 6:30-31; People do not despise a thief if he steals to satisfy his hunger when he is starving.

31Yet if he is caught, he must pay sevenfold, though it costs him all the wealth of his house.

Satan is a thief. We can demand he pay us back 7-fold what he has taken from us.

Get your justice and demand that Satan pay you back.

If you believe strongly enough and stay close to God and listen to His Holy Spirit, there is nothing Satan or his demons (See 'SATAN, WHO HE IS')

Many have been healed by God through Jesus.

There are seventeen times in the Gospels where Jesus healed all of the sick who were present (Matthew 4:23-24, 8:16-17, 9:35, 12:15, 14:14, 34-36, 15:30-31, 19:2,21:14 ; Mark 1:32-34, 1:39, 6:56; Luke 4:40, 6:17-19, 7:21, 9:11; and 17:12-17). There are forty-seven other times where He healed one or two people at a time (Matthew 8:1-4, 5-13, 14-15, 28-34, 9:1-8, 20-33, 12:10-13, 22-23, 15:21-28, 17:14-18, 20:30-34; Mark 1:21-31, 40-45, 2:1-12, 3:1-5, 5:1-20, 25-43, 7:24-37, 8:22-26, 9:14-29, 10:46-52; Luke 4:33-39, 5:12-15, 17-26, 6:6-10, 7:1-17, 8:27-39, 43-56, 9:37-42, 11:14, 13:11-17, 14:1-5, 18:35-43, 22:51; John 4:46-54, 5:2-15, 9:6-7, and 11:43-44). Nowhere do we find Jesus refusing to heal anyone. In light of Jesus’ statement that He could do nothing of Himself but only what He saw the Father do (John 5:19 and 8:28-29), His actions are proof enough that it is always God’s will to heal.
