TEXT THE TRINITY express.png

I never understood the Trinity, until I did.

First of all, the word 'Trinity' is not in the Bible, which means it is man's way of describing their various interpretations and viewpoints,  so if you find yourself confused it is understandable.

Let's see how man came up with the word Trinity and do our best to make it understandable to you.

In the following verses when you see something in ( ) I have put an explanation that is not part of the Bible verse itself.  The Amplified translation (AMP) which I have used 2 times, also has brackets.

God: Is a Spirit

(1 Corinthians 8:6 Yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom all things came and for whom we live; and there is but one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things came and through whom we live.

(John 3:16-17)For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.

God: There is only one God from whom all things came and all that we see (except evil).

God saw the continuing evil and send his only Son Jesus to save the world and its people, not to condemn them.  To give them a chance at eternal life.

Jesus the Son: is a Spirit

(Colossians 1:16-17);  For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. 17 He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.

(Matthew 11:27); All things have been committed to me by my Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal Him (God).

(John14:10); Don’t you believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in me? The words I say to you I do not speak on my own authority. Rather, it is the Father, living in me, who is doing his work.

(John 14:6); Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father (God)except through me.

(John 1:29); The next day he saw Jesus coming toward him, and John the Baptist said): “Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!"

(1 John 2:2 AMP);  And He [that same Jesus] is the propitiation for our sins [the atoning sacrifice that holds back the wrath of God that would otherwise be directed at us because of our sinful nature—our worldliness, our lifestyle]; and not for ours alone, but also for [the sins of all believers throughout] the whole world.

(Matthew 1:21; She (Mary) will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.

(2 Corinthians 5:19 AMP);  that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting people’s sins against them [but canceling them]. And He has committed to us the message of reconciliation [that is, restoration to favor with God].

Jesus the Son: Jesus was created before all things, and because of Him and God all things hold together.

All things were created  through Jesus and also for Jesus.

visible and invisible, which includes thrones/powers/rulers/authorities.

God has committed to Jesus all things.

No one knows God like His son and likewise, no one knows God like Jesus and those Jesus chooses to show others.

Jesus does not speak on his own to us, but he speaks what He hears from God.  It is God living in Jesus in (John14:10).

No one can come to God directly, they must go through Jesus.

John the Baptist pronounced and advertised the coming of Jesus and the fact Jesus was here to take away the sin of the world.

God has made peace with mankind through Jesus and His sacrifice, and death on the cross.  When Jesus died, all our sins, past, present, and future were forgiven.

God's reason for Jesus coming was to free man from Satan and atone (make amends) for man's sins so man (now purified) could have a new and different relationship with God, and God with us.

God chose Mary (after she agreed) to Birth Jesus who came to Earth to save people from their sins.

God, in Jesus, reconciled (restored friendship and harmony) with Himself and the world; and cancelling their sins  Through the sacrifice of Jesus on the Cross (1 Peter 1:18-19) God was able to restore to mankind to being in favor with God. Also see sacrificial lamb.

The Holy Spirit: is a Spirit

(John 16:7-8); I tell you the truth: it is to your advantage that I go away, for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you. But if I go, I will send him to you. 8 And when he comes, he will convict the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment:

(John 14:26);  (Jesus said: The Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.

(John 16:13)(Jesus said): When the Spirit of truth (Holy Spirit) comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will tell you the things that are to come.

He will glorify me, (Jesus) for he will take what is mine and declare it to you. All that the Father (God) has is mine.

(Galatians 5:22-23); The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control;

(Romans 8:26); the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought...

(Acts 1:8);  But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

(1 Corinthians 6:19);  Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own.

Angels:  Got Questions (one of my favorites) answers about angels  and with Bible references.

Holy Spirit: God, through Jesus, wanted us to have a part of Him residing inside us (if we chose) to help us and guide us and that is what the Holy Spirit is.

Jesus told His disciples that He needed to go away (die and get resurrected) in order for us to have the Holy Spirit who will convict (to convince of error or sinfulness) the world about sin righteousness and judgement.

Jesus tells His Disciples just before His death that the Helper, the Holy Spirit will teach us all things and bring to our mind all that He has said to us.  For us, we can study God's Word in the Bible since Jesus is not in front of us teaching us.

The Holy Spirit (the Spirit of Truth) will guide us into all truth and the Holy Spirit will not speak on his own, but only what he hears from God (through Jesus). The Holy Spirit (God through Jesus) will tell us what is to come.  When God intends something it goes through Jesus, and the Holy Spirit will take it and tell us  (declare) about it. The Holy Spirit will glorify Jesus.

The Holy Spirit will indwell inside of us (if we choose).  So, it is like we have God (through Jesus) living inside of us.  The character of the Holy Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control, which are the characteristics of God and Jesus.

When, and if, we choose the Holy Spirit He will help us in our weakness and we will receive power to be God's/Jesus'  witnesses and tell people about them  and the Bible until the end of the earth.

When the Holy Spirit comes inside of us, our body becomes like a holy temple and that we should treat our bodies the right way.

Notice all that is powerful is unseen:  God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit.

Satan and his demons are unseen too, though I do not consider them  powerful.   The only power they have is if we give to them.  They were defeated by Jesus on the cross..

Colossians 2:15 AMP; When He (Jesus) had disarmed the rulers and authorities [those supernatural forces of evil operating against us], He made a public example of them [exhibiting them as captives in His triumphal procession], having triumphed over them through the cross.

But look!  if we overcome  Satan/demons, and other things, look what we get:

Revelation 3:21He who overcomes, I will grant to him to sit down with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne

God is amazing in so many ways!  Seeing that mankind needed rescuing from sin and all that goes with it.  Then deciding to give mankind a new start by having Jesus become a sacrifice and atone for the sins of mankind and then to overcome Satan (See 'SATAN WHO HE IS').

These bodies, because they have evolved from Adam and Eve, have genetically recorded everything including all the evils from then until now, (imagine how many evils that must be).  This means we get a body when born that has a But Look!lot of evil in it.  Also, our human spirit gets tainted with evil  being in association with the brain/body, so it is necessary for us to be 'born again' where we get a renewed human spirit.
