DO SPIRITS HAVE EMOTIONS

DEFINITION OF SPIRIT : The definition of Spirit seems to be changing to be more and more physical/human, which is alarming and I have to wonder who or what is behind these changes.

It is important to know the definition of Spirit, because that is what God is and it is also is what we essentially are when we are apart from our body.

The word spirit in Hebrew is רוּחַ (ruach)  In Aramaic, the term is rûacḥ.

The Greek translation of the Old Testament, (the Septuagint), translates the word as πνεῦμα (pneuma – "breath").

1 Corinthians 2:11; For who knows a person’s thoughts except their own spirit within them? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God.

My spirit is pure and was given to me by God in my mother's womb.

In my spirit's gathered one lifetime experience along with the body it is now known as a soul.

See Ezekiel 18:4 (the name means God's strength) direct Hebrew/English translation to understand the word 'soul'.  In this section God is speaking to Ezekiel.

Conclusion regarding the word 'spirit' (also known as 'human spirit'):

When the 'spirit' was put into the fetus in the mother's womb by God, it is known and is called  a 'spirit.  When it joins the body, it now becomes known as a 'soul'.  It still has the same attributes as the 'spirit', but because of its joining with a body and the one lifetime it will live, it is now known as a 'soul' (See Ezekiel 18:4 above).
