This is a human spirit given to each of us in the womb by God.

Who are we really? People who look at their body in a mirror or another's body and think that that is all there is, are missing the big picture.

Ephesian 1:3; Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, 4 just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, 5 having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, 6 to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved.

God puts a new human spirit in each and every body when it is in the womb, and there is more. See below:
That would be great, but the problem is when the pure human spirit gets put, by God, into the fetus of a pregnant woman, it becomes impure by association with the body and its cellular genetic recorded past.
In addition, the human spirit is bombarded by messages from the body/brain's past in response to stimuli in the present. We have to remember that the body has evolved all the way from Adam and Eve. (See 'YOUR BRAIN AND YOUR SOUL').

The good news is our human spirit in us can be renewed if we are 'born again' and our renewed human spirit will be sealed so evil cannot infect it. The Holy Spirit, through Jesus, does this. We just need to ask for it.

Why 'through Jesus? In Mathew 28:18; "And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me." This means that when God along with Jesus (in the beginning - in Genesis) created planet Earth that at one point God gave Him (Jesus) all authority.​
​
This goes along with: John 14:4; Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."
​
Jesus said in: John 14:20; "On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you."
What does this mean? God is, and was, 'in' Jesus throughout His life with God; His life here on Earth, and now when He sits beside God.
We can have God (through Jesus) inside of us (Holy Spirit), if we choose = being "in" us.

Also, if we get 'baptized into the Holy Spirit' as well, we can get God's Holy Spirit (through Jesus) indwelling us helping and guiding us, as Jesus promised. Acts 1:5-8
​
I do want to emphasize here that even with the Holy Spirit indwelling us, we still have individual choice.
Here is the body/brain with both the born again human spirit and God's Holy Spirit.
We can be loving, happy, whole, and full of compassion. I used to look at people who were like this, and since I wasn't, wonder what happened to me.
​
I have to give Charis Bible College its due, because now I am all of those things, and more, and I wake up daily thankful for my life.
Me, myself and I, am dedicated to helping spread the Word of God and healing through the world, because the world needs them. Many have been duped out of the truth of the Word and how life can be. They live in various unnecessary anxieties, sicknesses, and problems.
