HOW AND WHEN DO WE GET OUR HUMAN SPIRIT?
We can see how Adam got his 'Image of God' (human spirit) See 'THE BEGINNING OF MANKIND'. Now it just leaves the question of how do we get our Image of God into each one of our bodies?
Here are 4 verses which show that God gave every one of us our human spirit while we were in the womb, and one verse which shows that God "forms the human spirit within a person".
Psalm 139:13: For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother's womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.

Jeremiah 1:4-5; The word of the Lord came to me, saying, 5 “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.”
Ecclesiastes 11:5; As you do not know the path of the wind, or how the body is formed in a mother's womb, so you cannot understand the work of God, the Maker of all things.
Zechariah 12:1; .......The Lord, who stretches out the heavens, who lays the foundation of the earth, and who forms the human spirit within a person…
Our human spirit can be renewed if we are born again, and an added benefit, will be it will be sealed by the Holy Spirit See 'HOLY SPIRIT' so evil cannot infect it. Plus, we get the Holy Spirit helping us if we have 'the Baptism of The Holy Spirit' as Jesus promised. Ephesians 1:3-14.
John 3:3; Jesus answered him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.”
MORE ON THE HUMAN SPIRIT
The 'human spirit' (also referred to as "spirit" in the verses below) has been recognized, realized, accepted, and understood throughout the Old and New Testaments. Here are a few verses:
NOTE: When the word "spirit" is lower case, it means the human spirit.
When the word Spirit is capitalized, it is referring to God's Holy Spirit,
which comes to those of us who believe and ask Jesus for it.
The Holy Spirit is in addition to the human spirit. We can each - potentially - have both.
Sometimes the translators have used the words 'human spirit, 'spirit' and 'soul' interchangeably, and that is why I refer to our 'spirit' as 'human spirit''

Here Stephen is asking Jesus to "receive his spirit" (lower case = human spirit,). In other words, Stephen knows he has a human spirit which is separate from his dying body and that Jesus will receive it.
Note: It is evident that Stephen is expecting his spirit to be received right away,
not in the thousands of years which is believed by some (soul sleep).
James is letting us know that the body without "the spirit" (lower case = human spirit) would be effectively dead. Also "faith without works is dead".
1 Corinthians 2:11-14; For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him?
Even so the thoughts of God no one knows except the Spirit of God.
Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may know the things freely given to us by God, which things we also speak, not in words taught by human wisdom, but in those taught by the Spirit, combining spiritual thoughts with spiritual words.
This verse is very specific and says “their own spirit (lower case) within them”. What else could this be, but the human spirit? This means that the human spirit, we received from God when we were in the womb, "knows the thoughts of a man".
"Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit (capitalized = Holy Spirit. See 'HOLY SPIRIT') who is from God" (this is the Holy Spirit) so that we may know the things freely given to us by God".
"not in words taught us by human wisdom, but in those taught by the Spirit"
This is very exciting. It means that God is communicating to us, through Jesus, to His Holy Spirit (which is Him) to us.
It is important to note that the Holy Spirit does not speak on his own, but only what he hears from Jesus.
Jesus (God in the flesh) probably realized when He was here on Earth that people needed Him with them always to heal and help them. That is what the Holy Spirit is. It is God through Jesus on the inside of us (after we have accepted Him Jesus) as our Lord and Savior. He is waiting to help, guide and heal us. (See 'HOLY SPIRIT')
It makes a lot of sense. If you owned a company you would delegate certain duties to employees in order to establish production and order. It is the same with God. Jesus is God's right hand and all things go through Him. The Holy Spirit is a communication arm from God (through Jesus) to us through which He communicates.
Since the death of Jesus, we can all have the Holy Spirit, in addition to the “human spirit” (Given to each one of us in the womb). (See 'HOLY SPIRIT') The Holy Spirit is sent by God to guide and work with our human spirit, provided we ask Jesus for it, and we believe. It is a very simple process, you just need to baptized in the Holy Spirit and you will receive it from God through Jesus in the form of His Holy Spirit. Your current human spirit will need to be 'born again' which means renewed by the Holy Spirit and sealed so that any evil cannot get in. The 'born again' process is best done prior to the 'Baptism in the Holy Spirit"
The Holy Spirit NEVER overwhelms us and ALWAYS allows us our choice. Jesus paid for our sins on the cross, present - past - future. Your sins have been atoned for (forgiven) and God now has a new relationship with Man in His New Covenant through Jesus.
The Holy Spirit works with our Born Again human spirit. The human spirit was the one given to us while we were in our mother's womb. When we were born again our old spirit got renewed and sealed so evil could no longer taint it. (WHO ARE WE?)
What is here on this page is great and if you apply these Bible verses, there is no reason that your life should not change for the better.
But there is so much more in the new book God, us, and Satan. I really recommend you purchase it. There are many links to Bible verses and my notes accompany most of them. And many pictures.
Seeing that many churches, institutions, and people were giving an incorrect version of the Bible, I set out to correct it, not only for myself but for others. I wanted God known as He is and as I found Him. I wanted people to have the truth, so I spent 8 years studying and unraveling God's messages to us from the original languages.
Many commentaries and pictures.
